To be ready for class on Monday (and to finish reading the novel by the end of the quarter)…

Please make sure you have completed your class work

  • Chapters 5 – 8 of Le Petit Prince
    • With attention to “les citations clés” for each chapter
    • new vocabulary or phrases

And do the following over the weekend

  • Chapters 9 – 11
    • With perhaps a more general sense of the story (since you have no one to read/discuss with)
    • Attention to vocabulary for comprehension

  • Done though Kahoot. Code will be announced on Thursday just before so you can join. It will also be posted on Instagram Stories.
  • Can join remotely from anywhere!

To be prepared for end of unit evaluations tomorrow, please make sure you have reviewed the vocabulary and structures from our unit on the environment

You will

  • complete a reading interpretive (designed like the ones you have completed in the unit
  • write about important steps to take to protect the planet & why
  • participate in a conversation about the environment – explain, give reasons & opinions, ask/answer questions

REMEMBER

A PSA should

  • start with a hook to capture the audience’s attention
  • include facts to inform the audience & support your position
  • attempt to persuade, influence or change the audience’s thinking or behaviour
  • conclude with a message that re-states your position in an interesting & memorable way
  • be concise (try to get your message across in approx. one minute)

Your PSA should

  • include vocabulary & language structures that we have been working on in this unit

***You can also include a brief description (en français) of what you would include as imagery or video/audio to further enhance your message

A2 DELF EXAM at Riverside tomorrow morning
