  • participated in conversations about the break using starter questions & answers as appropriate from p 42
  • asked & answered questions with partners, chapter by chapter, about Jean-Paul et ses amis
  • practised summarizing the story

To be ready for tomorrow

  • Make sure you bring your novels & unit packages 
  • Be prepared to finish talking through the novel & summarizing the story

  • reviewed “Un Royaume en danger” with partners 
  • practised making sentences about a past event that is more past than the general timeline of the conversation. Example: When I arrived at school this morning, I had already eaten breakfast. Quand je suis arrivée à l’école ce matin, j’avais déjà mangé le petit-déjeuner. Review on p 12 of unit

To be ready for tomorrow

  • Make sure you have completed your 5 practice sentences 
  • Bring your novel and both unit packages to class tomorrow

  • reviewed the “Si j’étais ministre de la culture” book & discussed why Winston Churchill asked, “What are we fighting for?” when his advisors wanted to cut the arts budget

  • Watch the “C’est quoi un stéréotype?” video above and answer the question on p 16 of your unit package
  • Make sure you are prepared to teach us about your research and to ask & answer/share opinions on a variety of different people who have had an impact on French culture and life
