  • worked through an interpretive reading on p 24-25, made note of new vocab and answered the questions
  • completed the remaining written activities on p 14 
  • worked through oral tasks on p 16

  • shared their fables with partners
  • started the interpretive work about Jean de la Fontaine using this video

  • take notes on p 48 of your unit to show everything you understand about Jean de la Fontaine

For class today, students

  • read the text on p 20 & discussed the question “Quelle est la connexion entre la culture, l’économie et l’appropriation culturelle?”
  • read the text about ‘les selfies’ on p 22 with partners & discussed whether selfies are art

To follow up tonight

  • Review new vocab from the texts we read in class
  • Write 5 sentences to share your personal opinions on the topics discussed. Challenge yourself to use new vocab and phrases for sharing opinions

  2. Est-ce que les selfies sont de l’art?

Français 11 Team

For class today, students

  • asked & answered partner questions about the tapisserie de Bayeux
  • worked on their interpretive listening skills using the following Alice Ayel videos & the questions on p 46-47

To be ready for tomorrow

  • Make sure you are prepared to discuss the fables
  • Prepare a ‘sketch & talk’ of a fable that you remember from your childhood or make up one of your own to share 
    • Fold a sheet of paper into 6 squares. 
    • In each square, write some simple sentences to tell the fable you have chosen. 
    • Roughly sketch out parts of the story or vocab that will help your partner understand any unknown language in your fable (Pictionary-style! Colouring & fine-lining etc are not required.) 

***Tell the story in your own words, using language structures and vocabulary we have practised in class. You can look up a maximum of 5 words that are essential to telling your story. Please note them on your paper.
