FR 9 Block 2
To be ready for this week
- Continue reviewing basic vocabulary, expressions & questions. I will be assessing these orally when I’m back in the classroom.
- Think about the results of your learning check in … What have you not yet mastered? Study those!
For class today
- Review the ‘Saying Your Age’ chart at the top of p 36
- Use the chart to help you work through the practice activities on p 36-38. Be sure to keep checking back to use the correct form of the verb and to spell your words correctly.
- If you have extra time in class AFTER completing the written activities, you can practice/study with a partner or complete new tasks in your online Language Gym class

FR 10 Block 3
To be ready for this week
- Keep studying the vocabulary for daily routines (front of unit) if you don’t know them all yet
For class today
- Carefully review/correct yesterday’s practice work. If your Teacher On Call doesn’t speak French, check your answers with partners and put a * beside anything you are not sure about so that we can check it when I return.
- Work through the conversation practice activities # 26 and #28 with two different partners (4 conversations!)
- Review how to form past tense using ‘avoir’ as the helper verb on p 19. We have seen this before. Look on the wall over the white board 🙂
- Do practice activity #3 on p 20
If you have extra time …
- There are 3 new online Language Gym tasks to practice the past tense. Complete before Oct 9. The sooner the better!
- Ask a partner to study new vocabulary with you or practice more French conversation
- There is NEVER nothing to do in French class!

To be ready for this week
- Continue studying prepositions/master any new vocab or phrases p 12-13
- Finish the ‘level’ up writing practice on p 43-44 on the topic of travel
*** Assessment coming up on Thursday for prepositions & sentence structure/tense
For class today
- Review the sentence builder ‘Talking about a past holiday’ on p 45
- Work through the practice activities on p 46-49. Don’t forget to make it interactive by practising pronunciation … say the phrases aloud, read the longer texts with partners, etc
Extra time? I doubt it, but… practise talking about a past holiday in French or study prepositions to prepare for Thursday 🙂
