FR 9 Block 3
To be ready for assessments this week
Thursday – End of unit writing
- be prepared to label the world map in French & answer questions about where French is spoken
- scroll back to yesterday’s post for more details 🙂
- write a short paragraph about yourself in French – using the vocab and structures learned in the unit (look at examples on p 55)
- answer questions (on paper) on a variety of topics from the unit
Friday – End of unit oral
- answer questions with Madame 🙂

FR 10 Block 5
To be ready for Wednesday
Make sure that you
- finished reading Chapter 5 & wrote a two sentence summary (past tense) that includes as much detail as possible
- wrote 9 questions to ask a partner about helping out at home
- 3 for what they regularly do (usually, always, generally, etc)
- 3 for what they did (yesterday, last weekend, last week, etc)
- 3 for what they are going to do (tonight, tomorrow, next weekend, etc)
- Carefully reviewed the sentence builder for ‘Describing My House’ on p 46 & completed the practice on p 47
***We will be finishing the unit this week. To prepare for the end of unit assessment, you can review & practise
- the verbs used throughout the unit … can you use them in present, past and future tenses?
- the vocabulary (talking in detail about your routines, using different structures for negatives – other than “ne… pas”, describing your house, explaining how you help out at home)
- asking/answering questions in the three tenses (about daily life, routines and home)
- the novel … are there some language structures or details that you learned in the novel that you might be able to incorporate into your own work?
