  • Write sentences using different action words/verbs with the correct endings?
  • Use a variety of memorized phrases, questions and expressions?

  • Continue to review the vocabulary and concepts from the first unit
    • We will be completing our unit evaluations next week (listening and writing)

  • Finish reading Chapter 9 of “Le Voyage”
    • I will give you time in class on Monday to complete the chapter questions
    • Over the weekend, make a list of important parts of each chapter of the story and note the new vocabulary or structures you would like to include when you retell it

    • Dans quelle province est-ce que tu habites?

  • Finish reading Chapter 8 of “Le Voyage”
    • Complete the questions for the chapter
    • We will review chapters 6, 7 & 8 in class tomorrow…can you retell the story?

  • Remember that tomorrow is ESS after block 2 & some of you have signed up to have your evaluated conversation with me!
  • Practise re-reading “Mme Lupin”
  • Finish answering the 9 questions from class today
    • Use your package to help you to structure your sentences & to find needed vocabulary

 

French 10

  • Finish reading Chapters 6 & 7 of “Le Voyage”
    • Complete the questions for the chapters
    • Make a list of ‘past tense actions’ (like we brainstormed on the board today) needed to retell what happened in the story

  • Review weather statements for yesterday and tomorrow
  • Keep practising your ‘er’ verbs for the learning check-in
    • Do you know what they mean in English?

  • Prepare for the learning check in by reviewing the meaning of action words on p 32 of your last unit & the ‘je’ pattern for past tense
  • Finish reading or re-read Chapter 5 of “Le voyage” and complete the questions
    • Can you retell Chapter 5 in your own words using the past tense?

  • Use your story corrections to make a comic strip story (Pictionary style illustrations are sufficient!)
  • Write your 5 questions on the back
  • You will read your stories & ask/answer questions with partners on Monday
    • Don’t forget your work at home!

  • Finish reading or re-read Chapter 4 of “Le voyage” and complete the questions
    • Consider re-reading chapters 1-4 over the weekend
    • Try using some new language structures or vocabulary in your own sentences
    • Can you retell the story in your own words up to this point?

    • Learning check-in coming up!
  • Make sure you have finished labeling your map of Canada in French for class tomorrow
    • We will practice pronunciation and asking/answering questions using place names, the verb ‘aller’ and prepositions on page 32 of your unit package

  • Finish reading or re-read Chapter 3 of “Le voyage” and complete the questions
    • Can you briefly summarize the last three chapters in the past tense?
    • Can you provide details or explanations ?
    • Can you use new vocabulary in your own questions or statements?
